Allan Amey, President and CEO of Climate Change Central will speak on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 pm in MacEwan Hall. His organization is a unique public-private partnership that promotes the development of innovative responses to global climate changes and its impacts. Mr. Amey holds an electrical engineering degree from McGill University and a masters degree in the management of technology from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been part of engineering design and business development teams in 20 countries worldwide. He has also taught at the technical school and university level. One of the objectives of Climate Control Central is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and maintain economic prosperity. Mr. Amey will discuss the signing of the Kyoto Accord with this objective in mind. His topic is Canada and Alberta Climate Change Challenges.
